Director of Communications

Portland, OR

The Math Learning Center (MLC) is a non-profit education organization dedicated to inspiring and enabling all individuals to discover and develop their mathematical confidence and ability. We develop high-quality mathematics curriculum and resources, including Bridges in Mathematics, that engage students, promote classroom community and discourse, and support effective instruction. Our work reaches more than 80,000 elementary teachers across the country.

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on marketing and communications leader who can turn organizational priorities into effective campaigns, compelling content, and meaningful customer engagement. This role combines strategic direction with direct execution. You’ll develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, shape messaging and content, oversee marketing technology and analytics, and lead our conference, trade show, and event marketing strategy. You’ll also build the processes and partnerships that help MLC communicate consistently and work effectively across teams.

If you enjoy turning ideas into action, finding better ways to reach audiences, and helping a mission-driven organization grow, we’d love to hear from you.

This position is based in Oregon. In this hybrid or fully onsite role, office days are in our Portland office.
