Network/Systems Administrator

Portland or Salem, OR

The Math Learning Center (MLC) is seeking a Network/Systems Administrator to join our team in our Portland or Salem, Oregon offices. 

MLC is a nonprofit organization serving the education community. Our mission is to inspire and enable individuals to discover and develop their mathematical confidence and ability. We offer innovative and standards-based curriculum, resources, and professional development. Our products and services are used by educators throughout the United States and in many international locations.

The Network/System Administrator will be responsible for the administration and internal support of MLC's technology infrastructure including network equipment, PCs, Macs, printers, servers, portable devices, phones, and related equipment.

What you will do:

  • Provide timely, quality technical assistance and support to resolve all hardware/software related issues for both local and remote staff 
  • Provide on-site support for Portland and Salem facilities, with travel between them as necessary
  • Coordinate software/hardware installations and delivery of new equipment
  • Configure, install, troubleshoot, repair, update and maintain all desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and all other company technology peripherals
  • Create and follow maintenance plans
  • Troubleshoot issues related to viruses, spyware, and spam as required
  • Track all help requests in a ticketing system
  • Ensure printers and copiers are set up for employee use and adequately maintained and supplies are maintained at appropriate levels
  • Set up audio/video/teleconferencing equipment for meetings and company events, may require travel to conferences
  • Provide training to all staff on company policies, procedures, equipment, and software

How you are qualified:

  • Active Directory knowledge
  • Remote desktop support experience
  • Proficient in Windows 10 operating system
  • Proficient in macOS operating system
  • Proficient in wireless technology
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Effective listening and learning skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive and optimistic attitude towards challenges
  • 3 - 5 years related experience
  • Associates Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
